Step siblings. Half siblings would mean that Stelar flare is Starlight’s mother but Sunburst has a different mother but of course they both share the same dad.

Sunburst and Starlight would then become half-siblings (step-siblings?), therefore pretty much ruining Starburst for most people.

Because adultery is the last thing that we need in a little girls’ TV show. It’s a rather unsettling thought.
