Jon Culshaw… only joking, we all know it was Tom Baker… yes, Tom Baker… “I walk in Eternity” that statement funnily enough says a lot as he really does walk in eternity, Doctor Who will always, and I mean always will be linked to Tom, nobody has trumped his record and nobody ever will… Tom was a force of nature and will be long after he passes. He’s like the Beatles of Doctor Who (and I don’t say that just cause he’s from Liverpool).

It was actually established early on that the whole twelve regenerations thing was more cultural than biological; the time lords could regenerate more, but don’t, because they view eternal life as a curse (and have inflicted it as such).

Sorry I misread your question.
But yeah, given that he only has two regenerations left (if you exclude the ones he gained from River in DW NS06 E08: “Let’s Kill Hitler”), it doesn’t seem likely. :|

@BP
Joanna Lumley in the (non-canon) “The Curse of Fatal Death”.
And he was played by Daniel Anthony in (the bodyswap episode) “Death of the Doctor” (SJA S4 E5/E6).

But no, there have been no canonical incarnations of The Doctor played by a non-white and/or female actor.
That’s kind of depressing when you think about it.

yeah, those doctor whooves shirts at hot topic are official merchandise … they awknowledge the fan stuff to that extent
Fun little fact, the reason the shirts say “doctor hooves” instead of whooves is because whomever is in charge at Doctor Who wouldn’t let them … but is okay with them putting a TARDIS and sonic screwdriver on in with the slightly differently worded phrase “trust me, I’m a doctor” instead of “the doctor”

unlikely as they are running out of times he can regenerate … though I suppose since Moffat said when they reach that point they’ll “make something up” I guess that’d be the time they’d switch it up
