After Fancy Pants left her to go pursue Rarity, Fleur Dis Lee was left betrayed. Her partner of many years had left her for a younger, “common” mare. She couldn’t believe it! To make matters worse, she found out she was pregnant with his child.  
After some time, Fleur gave birth to a filly named Primrose. She kept everything concerning Fancy Pants and the origin of her child quiet for fear of being accused of scandal and ruining her reputation in the Canterlot elite. Whenever Primrose asked about her father, Fleur dodged the question and told her he wasn’t worth anypony’s time and there was nothing she needed to know about him. While she loved her daughter, Fleur was extremely bitter over Fancy Pants leaving her.  
After a few years, Fleur decided she missed being a trophy wife and set out to go find a suitor. Unfortunately, all of her male friends were already married and all of the eligible stallions were half her age. There was nopony available that suited Fleur’s tastes, and she began getting desperate.  
Meanwhile, Prince Blueblood was being his usually snobby self in the lap of luxury. He, too, was getting antsy; he was the only of-age member of royalty without a suitor or an heir, and he felt this was ruining his reputation. Like Fleur, Blueblood was getting desperate to find somepony.  
One day, Blueblood was strolling through Canterlot when a young filly suddenly ran up to him. “Mother, is this my daddy?” she asked her mother. “No, ma fille. That is not your father. S’il te plaît, arrête de te demander,” the mother replied. While awkward at first, Blueblood started talking to the mare and realized she was Fleur Dis Lee, a member of the elite and one of the most eligible mares around. He decided to court her and marry her to save his reputation and good fortune.  
And so Blueblood started deliberately spending more time with Fleur and making attempts to court her. Fleur realized this but accepted his romantic advances. After all, they had both found an eligible suitor in each other. Despite their selfish reasons for getting together, Fleur and Blueblood were good friends and Blueblood became quite fond of little Primrose. After a while, Blueblood proposed and Fleur said yes.  
Sometime after they wed, Blueblood decided he wanted to start trying for an heir. Primrose was a lovely stepdaughter, but she wasn’t biologically his and thus not a legitimate heir. Fleur agreed and the two got right to work. However, this proved to be difficult when all their attempts ended up unsuccessful.  
Blueblood and Fleur went to a doctor to find out why they weren’t conceiving. After some tests, they received the heartbreaking news that Fleur had apparently gone through menopause and could not bear any more foals. All of Blueblood’s hopes of having an heir were shattered, and it was all Fleur’s fault. Tensions arose in their relationship until they eventually decided to end it with a divorce.  
Just as they were prepared to sign the divorce papers, Blueblood was greeted with some exciting news from Fleur. “Blueblood, mi amor, I am pregnant!” The tests were wrong and there was still an opportunity for an heir! Fleur and Blueblood called off the divorce and were happier than ever.  
Throughout her pregnancy, Fleur was monitored by doctors because of the health risks that her age could cause. They worried about miscarriage, birth defects, or worse. However, all their worries disappeared when Fleur gave birth to a healthy baby girl. At first, Blueblood was suspicious that she was born a pegasus, but then he remembered he had alicorn genes buried deep within his bloodline that caused her to be this way. He and Fleur named their little miracle Angel.  
The family lived happily for a couple years until another upset changed their lives-Primrose got pregnant as a teenager and her ex-coltfriend abandoned her out of fear. Fleur was supportive of her daughter throughout these hard times, but Blueblood insisted that Primrose abort the illegitimate child before signs began to show, in an attempt to save their reputation. He and Fleur fought over the issue, but in the end Prim decided to give the child up for adoption.  
Almost a year later, Primrose gave birth to a healthy baby girl. As soon as she laid eyes on her, she decided she wanted to keep her, so Blueblood begrudgingly paid money to call the adoption off. The filly was named Wind Flash and Primrose raised her with lots of help from her parents.  
Ever since, Blueblood and Fleur have lived together in the lap of luxury with their two daughters and their granddaughter. While their initial motives for marrying were selfish, they genuinely love each other now and are glad they met. Fleur got over her bitterness over Fancy Pants, though she has allowed Primrose to meet him. It doesn’t really matter anymore; he’s dead to her anyway. Angel is a very rambunctious filly who keeps her parents on their hooftips, but deep down she’s a sweetie and they love her. Wind Flash is also doing well, and Primrose turned out to be a wonderful mother that her parents are proud of. Indeed, Fleur and Blueblood are happy together.
