For Luna, the Tantabus is never gone. Weaker, unable to grow and feed to attain power, and is a constant shadow on her life. In her own dreams, it coughs and crawls, clinging to her spirit.

It reminds her of when she was imprisoned on the moon, and within her own darker self, wishing for nothing mire than to attone and return to Celestia’s side. This small umbra is all that remains of that pain.

Inspired by the song “Wish That You Were Here” by Florence and the Machine.

This was also a personal piece from my brief venture on my own, away from family and friends. I was blown away, after losing all the people who once cared, by the sheer loneliness even an introvert can feel by isolation. Like Luna, I was left alone with my sins and faults and wished for nothing more then to return to my family’s loving arms.
