Oh come on. Not all people hate Michael Bay. Some people like Michael Bay as well as his movies including the Trasnformers movies and the Pearl Harbor. And also, I don’t expect the Bumblebee movie to be in the same continuity as the Bayverse because the Bumblebee movie shows us how Bumblebee arrives on Earth and loses his voice in a different way. And despite the movie set in 1987 and its sequel “Rise of the Beasts” set in r have been news and reports that the Bumblebee movie is revealed to be a reboot instead of a prequel to the Transformers film series. For example, in the movie prequel comics, Bumblebee loses his voice to Megatron after launching the AllSpark into deep space and thousands of years later, he arrived on Earth in 2004. But when Transformers: The Last Knight came out on June 21, 2017, the film made the entire chunk up of expanded universe tie-in media not canon to the film series claiming that the Transformers have been on Earth for centuries and it states that Bumblebee arrives on Earth in the 1940s and fights along side Hot Rod who have arrived on Earth in the early 1900s. But in the Bumblebee movie, Bumblebee arrives on Earth in 1987 and loses his voice to Blitzwing instead of Megatron. But even the movie prequel comics to the live-action film series may be too hard to fit in the timeline/continuity, we can still assume that Megatron’s still responsible for ripping out Bumblebee’s vocal processor thousands of years ago because according to Ratchet in the first film, Bumblebee’s vocal processor is damaged in the battle/fall of Cybertron (possibly Tyger Pax) and Ratchet’s still working on it.
Because people hate Michael Bay.
Why is it a reboot? Could this possibly be a sequel to the Bumblebee movie?
Well, yes it’s gonna be a sequel to Bumblebee but it’s a reboot of the film series due to Michael Bay’s lack of involvement in the future films.
You mean “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts”? I thought this was gonna be set seven years after the events of the Bumblebee movie as a sequel.
It looks like it
So, the film series is over and the film series has been rebooted in Christmas 2018?
And the last film of the original film series and the series has been rebooted in December 21, 2018?
Just the last one directed by Bay.
So that means that The Last Knight is final film of the film series as well as the final film directed by Michael Bay?
Well, TLK underperformed in the box office because not just of Mike Bay, but also because of the curse of Akiva Goldsman. If he’s involved the movie is automatically bad. (Same with Rings and The Dark Tower, which flopped and got bad reviews)
It led Hasbro to reboot the franchise with little to no involvement from Bay himself.
Now, can we at least go back on topic. I don’t wanna get banned again.

Then does that mean that Transformers 6 the sequel to The Last Knight is cancelled? The makers of the film series want the fifth film as a grand finale to the film series where all the Autobot return home back to Cybertron? The only Autobot that survived the events of the film series are Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Hound, Drift, Crosshairs, Cogman, Daytrader, Hot Rod, Squweeks, Wheelie, Topspin, Roadbuster, Brains, Mirage/Dino, Trench, Bulldog, the Dinobots (Grimlock, Sluge, Scorn, Strafe, the Mini Dinobots (Mini-Grimlock, Mini-Strafe, Mini-Slug)), Trench, HMS Alliance Autobot, and the Knights of Iacon/Dragonstorm. And the Decepticons that also survived the events of film series are Megatron, Barricade, Berserker, Garagebot, Scalpel/The Doctor, and possibly Igor. It seems that almost all of the Decepticons all died for good. Even Quintessa survived because she’s still finding a way to destroy Unicron. So I guess that’s the end of the film series then. I guess that means “til all are one!”
A different reboot.
You mean it’s either a sequel to The Last Knight/Transformers 6 or a different reboot to the Michael Bay films and/or the Bumblebee movie?
I heard Steven Caple Jr. is directing a Transformers movie. Could be a reboot too like Bumblebee.
But I thought the next movie will be a sequel to The Last Knight. But the Bumblebee movie is truly a reboot instead of prequel to the Trnaformers film series because it was Blitzwing who destroyed Bumblebee’s vocal processor on Earth instead of Megatron on Tyger Pax and Bumblebee arrived on Earth in 1987 instead of the 1940s. But I would agree that the Bumblebee movie is identical to the Michael Bay films but deviates the events and change the designs of the robot characters except Shatter, Dropkick, and Blitzwing as in G1 like styles. And I mean if there was a Transformers 6, we’ll probably get see an actual appearance of Unicron as more gigantic in robot/god mode and act as the main antagonist of a Transformers 6 since we saw his six horns in The Last Knight. Be sense we know that Michael Bay’s fifth Transformers film is to be the last, who would replace him for the future films of the Bayverse? Bumblebee director Travis Knight or someone else?
It’s not the time for that was after DOTM it didn’t happened they locked themselves in.
I just hope the next Transformers movie is a reboot, because that’s kinda what the film franchise needs at this point.
The one Boulder Media is working on. Also, Since they finally made a 5-year film and TV deal last week, Paramount is producing the film with Hasbro.
And before you get pessimistic over the Transformers movies (with Bay as producer), Michael Bay as a producer didn’t affect Mike Flanagan’s Ouija prequel as it was praised by critics. And before you say that his producing works are mostly bad, it’s not because of his involvement, but because of shitty to mediocre directors like Marcus Nispel, Jonathan Liebesman or Stiles White.
