The moral was pretty much be grateful with what you have. The problem was rainbow dash was upset that they wouldn’t leave her alone and overly praised her beyond what she was comfortable with so I had the right to be upset

To be fair, given that she’s the the brand-new leader of the dragons, she may have felt that she had to overreact (in our eyes, anyway) to prove to her people that she wouldn’t let them be insulted or disgraced without consequences.

Like seriously, this is worse than the lesson in the show where they taught you it’s ok to have overbearingly supportive parents.

I know that kids’ entertainment (and often adults’) always simplify the complex chain of events that lie behind wars to ‘make it easy for the audience’ – but this just makes Ember and the dragons sound like egotistical thugss.

Bad writing is bad writing. There’s also the fact that this isn’t played for comedy at all. Ember literally firebombed the Yak homeland with them and ponies knowingly there in the open because of this petty thing. Not to mention even in Party Pooped it was repeated screwups that made Rutherford declare war. Ember decides to raze a village because of some 1000 year old event that literally no one else was really aware about. If you think that’s justifiable then I really gotta question your morals.

Seems this entire website forgot how the Yaks declared war on Equestria for taking to long to throw them a party.

This is seriously one of the stupidest thing I’ve EVER seen in the entire franchise.

I won’t. I ignore the bull comic which I shall never name. I shall ignore this comic. Pity, I used to like drawing inspiration from the comics for my own fics but now, I would rather just stick to the show. The comics…. I’ll stick with the slice of life one shots. They at least don’t do….. this…. most of the time.

So let me get this straight. This whole war, a WAR you Ember and the dragons started and wish to continue till the Yaks are destroyed, is over a bond where ONLY dragons are allowed to be given the title of honorary yaks……. So ONLY dragons get to choose what person the yaks can give this title to and if one were to ever, voluntarily, give another race the title. Just an honorary title that shows that the yaks highly respect an individual, You would attack them………
 
Dragons are assholes. No, they are controlling assholes that are trying to lord themselves over another race with what apparently is war if they don’t comply with the dragon’s wishes. A bit of tyrants, are you.
