Yep. She’s been kidnapped by Tempest, Grubber, and the Storm Creatures because they’re taking her back to the now conquered/invaded Equestria which is still under the rulership of the Storm King so he could use his staff to steal the magic of all four alicorn princesses that he have already overthrown and use it to keep on conquering the world and make everyone that he have captured and/or enslaved his slaves.
I want to say that’s a spoiler BUT That’s the same as saying callie would be a villain in splatoon 2.
We all knew it would happen before it came out,Even if some people didn’t get the memo.

It doesn’t seem like she’s been kidnapped though, based on the screenshots. It looks like she went willingly in order to protect her friends or something, which is a very Twilight thing to do.
