Description
When our Equestria pen and paper RPG started in summer 2016 our characters came across this mysterious unicorn in a little tavern in a tiny settlement called “One horse village”. At the time we didn’t learn about his name, nor did we hear him speak and he left rather hurriedly when he overheard that our group would be met by a pegasi scout named Woodwinger (there will be more on him later). We would not see Backfire (or learn about his name or some of his backstory) until much later. Little did we know at our first encounter that he was one of the most wanted ponys in the Equestria of our pen and paper RPG (set some 1000 years before the events of the MLP series). Backfire however wasn’t so much wanted by any law enforcers but rather by the shady organization whom we were to encounter soon and whom we learned Backfire had deserted (leaving his special somepony and their young son behind). Our group encountered him again only much later and at this point I cannot give any more information about his background lest my fellow players (I am the game master for the time being) get any spoiler information here Trying to keep a low profile and not be recognized Backfire would wear this hooded cloak all the time. I got to admit that even though AJ settled the matter in season one already it was a bit odd in case of this character (as well as some other pen and paper RPG characters yet to come) to create one version of them with the clothes they would wear most of the time during the game and then one as undressed as the ponys would normally be so their cutie mark would be seen also. Anyway, here is the version of Backfire without the coat.
Thanks and credit for the beautiful background go to matty4z while the blame for any sloppy edits to remove some elements of the original background is my own.
