It’s all goo pony genetics. The offspring inherit hues and opacities from the parents, but they can be anything from a blend to inheriting from a grandparent to duo or (in rare cases) triple tone patterns. Mixed with human genetics, dad’s hair and skin tone genes split her pattern down the middle: her “hair” mostly inherited traits from mom (so her hair is like gel and translucent) while her “body” mostly inherited traits from dad (thick like putty and opaque).

Seems to me that the best solution would be to turn the dad into goo as well.

She’s only mad ‘cause she looks bald. Possibly also because she can’t wear clothes.
 
Also, a blend of flesh and goo like this is actually really disturbing to me. It looks sort of parasitical.

Y’know, I realize now that having a goo-child would probably be a bit of a nightmare for a solid father, especially if momma goo is away for a while… Imagine her being annoyed with dad and slipping through the floorboards to sulk? Or squeezing down the sink and away to explore?
