Well, Everypony didn’t die in the movie. But the deaths in the movie are the Storm King and sa most number of Storm Creatures burned by Spike and sucked by the cyclone/twister/tornado/whirlwind that the Storm King had created.

It was Canterlot. The Storm King destroyed Csnterlot and the rest of Equestria throughout the movie. And speaking of some other city, I would agreed that the Storm King did destroyed a city in the past. And I guess that would be Panterha the capital city of Abyssinia seen in the movie’s prequel. And for Ponyville, I agreed that the Storm King also destroyed/conquered Ponyville too because you can see smoke hissing above Ponyville after the song, “Open Up Your Eyes” when some of the Storm King’s ships seems to be heading towards Canterlot while flying around and across into Equestria spreading storm clouds across Equestria.

Sorry, AJ– you kept The Doctor away and the Daleks were victorious.

Looking at this, Canterlot seems to wrap AROUND the mountain, nice to see the scale of the actual city.

This is either Canterlot or some city the Storm King destroyed in the past and that we will see in a flashback during the movie.  
Either way, I’m worried for Ponyville now. A LOT. This guy means business.

Damn it, Celestia! What world-ending threat did you not take seriously this time?

Also, sweet, love the look and it gives a very morbid feel to it.

Those vectors are really distracting for an otherwise great image.

Cool that we finally get a sense of how big Canterlot actually is, even if it is wrecked.
