Description
A drawing meant to be posted in this Halloween (Nightmare Night), but only now I was able to finish it. To be fair, I was struggling to get a good idea for a picture, and I’ve got this one only days before Halloween.
Based in the famous “Cupcakes” fic, no need for introduction.
To put it simple, Pinkie Pie, after letting Cupcakes getting in her nerves, decides to do something crazy, in order to stop taking the fic seriously, pleasing her peculiar fanbase and even attract some customers to Sugarcube Corner: making a show based in Cupcakes!
A very loosely theatrical adaptation of Cupcakes, judging by this scene. XD
Yes, it sounds dumb and even unrealistic (since it’s about Cupcakes, she and the Cake family should have ended in trouble and bad reputation because of the fic’s fans, rumours, etc.) But I wanted to do something more comical for this Halloween, based in such a dark fic like Cupcakes. In any case, I hope you all enjoy it!

Some people take a while to give a proper answer due having problems with free time, while others (generally bigger, more popular artists) don’t even bother answering the comments, regardless from being your friends or watchers.
But I read the comments and I really enjoy them. I only wished I could answer faster…
Eh, I’ve seen worst.
Sounds like something they would do for fun. It would be both hilarious and horrifying if they did that in the show.
After all, Disney’s done it with dozens of horrifying stories.
I don’t know - in fact, I disagree.
I’d attend the show, and I’d be confident that Pinkie would pull it off and make it both creepy enough for the evening and the adults there, and funny and distracting enough for any foals there.
Of course, I’d be drinking heavily through the whole thing - but it’s Nightmare Night, right? The Pony equivalent of The Purge!
So, let your hair down, make sure your mask is on tight, and let’s do this thing.

If you think something is breaking a rule on the site, please just report it. It’s not a whine, it’s a fairly lucid critique of the piece, up to the point where it becomes its own side story …
With that in mind, however, there have been a lot of very popular works that started out as, basically, underground fanfics.
Who knows? Maybe Pinkie will pull a rabbit out of her hat.
Ah, “grimdark” nor “semi-grimdark” have been tagged. That’s probably why this wasn’t hidden by your filters compelling you to whine needlessly. XD
You’re taking this far too seriously, you know
Good Idea: Making a show, in Nightmare Night, to please the fans.
Bad Idea: Making a show, in Nightmare Night, to please the fans of a grim, disturbing fanfiction. Bonus points because of the visibly poor adaptation of Cupcakes.
Mostly a bad idea. Pinkie Pie will not be able to please the fans and there’s a good chance she will earn an even big bad reputation. Not to mention the Cake family. I can see them kicking Pinkie out of the Sugarcube Corner. Pinkie is begging to have her life ruined.
What was she thinking? What was the “artist” thinking, anyway?
Yes, it’s grim and downright disgusting, but Pinkie butchering another pony while staying her usual peppy self is just too absurd to be taken seriously.
It was puffy in the original, so it would be accurate.
