Age: Read below
Full name: Lightning Asrial Crystalia Note ( Wow that’s a long name o3o’’’’ )
Nicknames: Note, Light, L
Personality: She’s shy, and when meeting you for the first time she often shies away from conversation. After and/or if she warms up to people though, she doesn’t go away. She’s eager to make friends, but very self-concious. She doesn’t like talking about her past, as it’s not something she’s too fond of.
Current home: Canterlot
Town of birth: The Crystal Empire

Her story:

Over one thousand years ago, before the banishment of Princess Luna, The Crystal Empire was at peace. In this strange place, made up mostly of crystal and more love than any other place in Equestria, lived a stallion named Sombra. He had a wife known as Lady Amalia, a changeling from the Amaryllis tribe.
They were well known as a strange couple, Sombra being one of the rarely seen crystal unicorns, and Amalia being the only changeling. It didn’t bother them however, as there never were any unkind words present in The Empire.
One day, the two decided they wanted to have a child. That child turned out to be a blue pegasus, and they named her Lightning Asrial Crystalia Note.
The fact that she was a pegasus wasn’t very strange, since Amalia was a changeling, her child could be any kind of pony exept for the legendary Alicorns. What was strange, was the ever-present smoke that seemed to flow through her eyes. It turned out to be a strange kind of magic, as she was able to levitate small things and cast light spells even when very young, no older than a baby.
They were all a happy family, and things were going smooth… Until one day, when Amalia was in an accident. An accident that costed her life.
Sombra was furious, blaming the other crystal ponies for his wife’s death. The crystal ponies watched in horror as he ran away from the scene, his body loosing it’s crystal glow. He soon arrived at his home, locked all doors and windows and began to cast a spell. He saw Lightning Note staring at him with big eyes, and he spoke;
“I will make them pay for what they have done.”
The spell he cast was a simple one, but it needed much determination. Determination that Sombra had, his body turning darker, his horn turning curved and tinted red, and his eyes turning a dark red, with snake-like pupils. He had submit himself to the power of dark magic.
He then grabbed his small child, as Lightning Note was only about a year old when things turned oh so wrong, and ran. He left the empire far behind.

15 years later
There they stood, Sombra and Lightning Note, at the edge of The Crystal Empire. It was a week after Lightning Note’s 16:th birthday, and she was looking more serious than ever. Sombra turned his head towards his daughter, who had her eyes locked on the kingdom before them. He spoke up;
“My daughter, this is what I’ve trained you for all these years. It is now time for us to rule, you and I. The King of Darkness and his loyal daughter.”
At the statement, Lightning Note smirks. “Father, you do know I love you. And you will indeed be the king. But you can not use that title, it is way to… cliché.”
They both chuckled, before readying their weapons. Sombra weilding a sword, and Lightning Note a scythe. Their armor clinked as they approached the first houses, the residents unaware of what was to come.

The kingdom was theirs. Sombra smiled to himself as he stood on his balcony, watching the ponies, his ponies working below him.
“Father?” Lightning Note walked up beside him. Sombra turned to her. “What is it?” He asked with a smile. His expression however, turned into one of curiosity as he saw Lightning Note’s stern one. She replied; “It’s the Princesses from the South. They are on their way here to defeat us.” She said the word ‘defeat’ with a slightly amused tone. As if they would fail, they were unstoppable.

They were not.

The battle was fierce, and even if Sombra and Lightning Note were able to wound the Princesses, in the end they were overpowered. Lightning Note’s wings were damaged badly, and she lost a great deal of her ability to fly. They were banished to the ices of the north for over 1000 years.

The Empire Returns
Sombra approached the empire, alone this time. He had demanded that Lightning Note stayed away this time, as he refused to let her get hurt again. He was able to get quite far into the empire, and in the end his hoof was just out of reach of the Crystal Heart.
Lightning Note watched this all from a safe distance, but she kept walking closer despite what Sombra had said. She only had seconds to react as she saw the shockwave pulsing towards them, shattering Sombra before her eyes. She only stared, confused at first. All she could think was “That didn’t just… No, that’s impossible. He’s too strong. Right? ….. Right?!” Just as her eyes began to water, finally realising he was gone, a second shockwave knocked her into a crystal pillar, making her go unconcious.

When Lightning Note woke up, she was in some kind of room. It was a big one, formed in a circle, and to her suprise she wasn’t chained, but rather in a bed. She felt more tired than ever before. There was a deep sorrow in her heart, and she pulled the blankets tighter around her. She didn’t care what happened next, her father was gone.
This however, didn’t stop her from looking up when the door opened. She bolted out of bed, backing against the wall.
“Don’t be afraid. I’m not here to harm you.” Said Princess Celestia.
Lightning Note stood her ground, shaking. She had been taught to both hate and fear this being of light, but she seemed so calm. She spoke up, thankful her voice was atleast steady. “What do you want? If it is knowledge, then there’s nothing you need to know.”
Celestia seemed thoughtful, before she started talking again. “I remember you.” It wasn’t a question, but rather a statement. “You are Sombra’s.. daughter, aren’t you?” Lightning Note turned her head away, her lip trembling. “Was.” She corrected. “I was his daughter, before he was killed by the ponies you sent.”
With a sigh, Celestia took a step forwards, before sitting down on the ground. “I’m sorry. I truly am. But… I’d still like to talk to you. You are so young, but you know so much…” Lightning Note hesitated for a moment. Should she really trust this pony? The one responsible for her father’s death? “…” She did. There was nothing to loose anyway. “Fine.” She sat down aswell. “Let’s talk.”

Aaaaand THAT was her overly depressing and super long backstory! And yes, I know it kinda sucks. But meh, I’m not a writer .3.
Sorry, I didn’t mean for it to be that long, I just got carried away… ^^;

Anyways, I hope you like her backstory, I really tried XD

…
I really hope she doesn’t seem like a Mary Sue o_o
