Instead of breaking, why doesn’t he just get pissed and destroy them for mocking her form. After all they may look like her but they obviously are not her

It’s not even a headcanon that Chrysalis defeated Discord. She did.
 
Winners in battle don’t say ‘well it was kind of unfair and doesn’t count because…’  
Especially not changelings, who rely on backstabbing manipulation and trickery.  
You take advantage of your opponents’ weaknesses, especially if you have a way to enforce weakness,  
like Chrysalis’ anti-magic throne.
 
Discord took the risk of infiltrating the changeling hive regardless,  
because Fluttershy is just that important to him…  
and in doing so, he ultimately loses a psychological battle with the Queen, and gets captured.
 
So yeah, Chrysalis defeated Discord.  
Whether my ‘smirking Fluttershy is Chrysalis’ headcanon is legit or not is another matter,  
but even if it’s just another drone, any victory they have is her victory too.

Its a part of the original leak about the first drafts for the movie leaked by Sony. Lauren already left years before that and Longma was mentioned in the script written by McCarthy, who is still the main writer of the movie.

I’m pretty sure the early “Longma” draft thing reffered to how Lauren Faust once said that if she had known there was actually a creature called Longma/Kirin when she designed Discord, then she would’ve named his species as that instead of Draconequus, since a “Horse/Dragon” hybrid (what a Longma is viewed as) was exactly what she had in mind for him.

Discord taking things seriously would invariably break the balance because there’s no one who could take him on unless there are others like him, which seems unlikely as he’s often reffered to as a unique being.

Discord isn’t sure if he should be sad or happy

Discord only lose when  
A) theres deus ex machina involved  
B) theres waifu involved  
C) he got stripped from his powers  
Which will be often the case since he will never be seen using his full power in a fight. Unless they make a second Draconequus who is fully evil and make them fight.

Something isn’t adding up.  
Unless you wanted to be extremely technical and say that, Discord, having been stripped of his powers and captured by changelings, was defeated by Chrysalis, than sure.  
Kind of a stretch, though.

A battle was won, but a war was lost. Take out a powerful foe, monologue like an idiot, and then lose big time. Rinse and repeat by scurrying off to plan revenge. I’m glad she refused Starlight though. Still have to have a villain in the wings to keep the story going.
