Description

I know people were thinking that in the newest episode “Where the Apple Lies” would explain her parents death. Some even thought Applejack would be the reason her parents died, so I drew a picture based on that theory, haha. The episode was good though anyways. I would never expect them to go that far but it’s nice for fan-content I guess lol.

I think Applejack looks too composed for what the artist was going for. If she is meant to have caused both her parents to die she should look traumatized.

Well, I actually didn’t think it would end up showing the death of AJ and Big Mac’s parents, but I HOPED at least we’d see them in some capacity! And wtf is up with not even showing one shot of a cute baby Apple Bloom foal?! >.< I mean, are the writers secretly pushing the whole “AB is an incestuous foal” thing some fans go with? I’m all for incest, but AB’s eyes are DIFFERENT than her older siblings, as it seems very unlikely that recessive genes would be dominant over the siblings that both have green eyes. Even if I would like to think that for some reason, they were just outta town, despite that Granny Smith was clearly running the farm back then… that or what, AB is adopted/only a half-sibling?! Something weird that makes no sense… even if I’m putting more thought into this than I should! But even if it was a story about Applejack mostly, it would’ve been nice to see more Apples, even if just as a cameo.
 
Plus, I thought the whole thing would actually end up with some Apple ponies (aside from AJ likely) being hurt, based on the summary! Not just a bunch of lies AJ told conveniently leading everypony to being at the hospital with no one actually hurt and just Big Mac almost losing a leg… if AJ hadn’t stopped being my favorite pony a long time ago, I kinda think something like her actually getting her family injured would’ve pushed me over the edge. Still, it was pretty good aside from that ending, even if I did want to see more in it than they gave us. But I liked seeing Big Mac talk lots more than he has in any other episode (not counting last season, when he talked in a high voice for most of it in “Brotherhooves Social”).
 
Now onto next week with Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash’s friendship problem (as I suspected, with the other pairs this season), then the 2-part finale I’ve already seen! XD
