Yeah, yeah. Twilight will defend herself if needed. Plus, Trixie has a known criminal past for taking over a town and was let off with a warning previously. No matter how you spin it annoying a monarch in any way, via touching or assault, is punishable and the guards are within their rights.
Plus, the idea that Twilight would approve of two of her guards going all postal on another pony for simply annoying her is pretty far fetched.

Yeah, no. Considering the fact that she’s the Princess of Friendship, and seems to make a point of letting everyone treat her like a normal Pony, Twilight and her guards would have no ground to stand on for suddenly signaling Trixie out.
They are found completely innocent for doing their jobs and Trixie is sentenced to community service with no magic use for violating the personal space of royalty and being an annoyance in court.
The Guard and Sentry then get court martialed, and Twilight stands trial for abusing her power.
