I don’t think THESE will be the models we’ll see in the movie. These are more concept models. Effective models I think will be the ones like the Twilight Model that Tara Strong has shown some days ago, which is pretty much close to the show’s model just better detailed.

What the Fluff?
You can definitely tell they’re using different models. It appears they’re going for more depth. More shading. Personally, I prefer the Flash-based models myself. But my biggest complaint here is the mouth profile. Ponies in the show have a specific, defined profile to their mouth. And it looks like they’ve rounded it off or something. It’s hard to tell at such a small size.

And Spike, he looks weird. Can’t even see his pupils in this image. From what you can see he looks shorter and younger than he currently does.

I know production values go up with a movie and bigger budget, but I’m just hoping they don’t get too far from the original designs.

No word about Spike being included in the logo, or about how he’s riding Twilight, fist raised in the air in excitement; instead you wait until someone uploads the image without the one tag you care about, and bitch about it instead of correcting it.

Typical Spike fan.
