Of course, MLP fans/bronies have their bad eggs too. People forget every fanbase has some bad fans.

It is my favourite anime, but now a lot of people hate it because of the annoying fans.

Some Sonic-haters actually are ex-Sonic-fans, but then they just go off about how much better the old games/cartoons were, and such, or berate those for not having the same opinions, or for liking Sonic games/cartoons/comics they hate. (Kinda like the ex-bronies.)
 
Honestly, I think the Sonic series has gotten more “underrated,” considering some critics bash even his good games, or pretend the series was never good to begin with. While I understand Sonic isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, some just hop on the trendy hedgehog-hate bandwagon, because it’s become “cool” to hate him in many gamer circles, due to the immature/annoying Sonic fans, or the “hit or miss/controersial” quality of his games. (Though, personally, I liked a few of his “bad” games.)

I know some haters despise Sonic because is being overrated by some fanboys and I know how they feel but, I will never understand some haters. If they hate something too much, why they are still seeing that?
 
You know what I think about some of them? They are repressed fanboys, but they hide it with hatred because they fear what would the other haters say.

I think they prefer complaining. I find the Sonic-haters/complainers much more annoying then the Sonic spam/floods frankly. They don’t even realize they’re giving the trolls what they want everytime they get angry at a Sonic-related pic. It’s the easiest way to troll Derpibooru.
 
I will say I do like the art from the official Sonic comic though.
