The short answer is that a lamia is from the Greek mythology while a naga is from the Hindu mythology.  
There are deeper differences however. E.g. the Naga are often described as shapechangers while Lamia are part human(in our case pony) part snake.

So is there a difference between a lamia and a Naga? I thought one was more snake than the other but their both tagged here so I don’t know anymore.
