I think the “obvious reasons” is that the Catholics don’t believe in ordaining women (unlike Anglicans).
The British monarch is only the head of the Church of England specifically; The Archbishop of Canterbury (the chief religious figure of the Church of England) is the spiritual head of the Anglican Communion as a whole.
We don’t bend knee to a foreign monarch. ;P That’s actually, I think, part of how the Episcopal Church (the US province of the Anglican Communion) came to be - What with the Revolutionary War and all, our bishops weren’t about to swear fealty to the British monarch (like Church of England bishops have to).
Ah yes,Anglicanism has a monarch as it head. I’m afraid that my knowledge of both anime and religion word classify me as a “scrub” by the devoted of each crowd.
Yeah, so have you seen some of the japanese animes about cute vampire slaying catholic priests?!
(Ellie’s clothes are more largely ripped off anglicanism as opposed to Catholicism though, for obvious reasons)
