They represent their desire to teach other ponies the purpose of cutie marks. Note that there was no mention of changing or retiring the name of the Crusaders’ group. The individual symbols inside each shield symbol represents their own individuality, or perhaps their secondary talents, while the cutie mark as a whole contains their collective primary special talent: Crusading for the sake of Cutie Marks. Presumably, just in Ponyville until they age.
 
Their secondary talents we’ve always known: The Need for Speed and singing. Of course, thanks to Twilight Time, Apple Bloom’s is surrounded by conflicting theories until she has the chance to demonstrate it next season. X3
