Also, having a hanging fetish and being depressed and feeling overwhelmed and anxious about the future - not a good combination. I guess this is my first “vent art”? I really wouldn’t and couldn’t, though, but I can draw it, still. And I’ll almost certainly feel better after a good nights’ sleep, anyways…

Well, helplessness is one of the key components of ‘peril’ play. They tie (lolsnort) together pretty nicely. :)
Everything is just some… thing that exists. The first step to happiness is realizing this and acknowledging the fact that no one will ever amount to anything. The universe with die and everyone will be forgotten. But everyone is together in this worthlessness. No one is worth more than anyone else in regards to the universe. True worth is meaningless, so just try to enjoy yourself. Do what makes your sack of computational flesh happy. Don’t worry about what others think, as that won’t matter. Although do listen to your morals, as you are a social creature and your happiness depends on others not locking you up or ostracizing you.
Well, even if you’re just paying rent, you’re helping the dreams come true of various people invested in your place.
Regardless of how you feel, though, there are more people with more emotional investment in you than you realize.
perhaps she’s just trying to role-play with the rope… we gotta tie her up, then!

Mmmm, probably more the bondage factor - complete helplessness. I can think of no situation more hopeless/helpless than being tied up and hanging.
