Equestria Girls is canon, so are the comics, as said by Hasbro representatives. However, they did also say that the comics are only canon until the cartoon(the primary medium) says otherwise. That is, an event in the comic is canon until something happens in the cartoon to say it isn’t.
Why? She would be safe with umbrum, and then can return to Sombra when he returns with the empire.
No, in the comics it said he was afraid the shadow ponies weren’t monsters, so instead of freeing them like they wanted him to do, he just went and enslaved the Empire on his own.
I wouldn’t put it beyond her.
