Usually it’s a privacy thing. If their family knows their SFW artist name, or they apply for an art job and post their DA link or something as an example. They don’t want those kinda people finding their NSFW stuff.
Don’t see much reason in this separating, but this is not my business at all. And, in this case, I can only wish artist good luck in his future NSFW artworks, because I’m sure they will be as awesome as now.
And a little adwise to artist, in case if my guesses were right: if you want to be so anonymus, you must reupload all of yours NSFW works, because now there is too mush trails that can lead to your real account.
I believe this artist uses a different name for their NSFW works. There are plenty of artists who do that. Please do not mention artist’s SFW names on their NSFW works if that’s what they desire.
This is very much intentional.
Some artists have separate artist names for SFW and NSFW stuff.
