Description
This will be available at BronyScot 2015, at my vendor table, for anyone who’d want to purchase it.
This is a one of a kind painting done in acrylics, 34cmx23,5cm in size, working three hours a day for three days (while I had sunlight over here). I think I might be getting somewhere with my traditional work, I want to do more of these. Sadly my original plan to do three canvases with three different princesses will not happen, as I ran out of time to do the third and last one. At least I know I can do these, so all I have to do is keep on going! It feels like going back to art school, alright.
I started this one with the background, and kind of gave it an unintentional link to the 1001 Arabian Nights stories. At first I wasn’t too sure if it would fit Luna, but then I saw her outfit in the finale of season 3@. I think it works fairly well what with the Moon motives and the color scheme. Luna’s mane wasn’t particularly difficult to paint, though. It was a bit more troublesome to try and get the constellations and stars in there than making the transparency and flow of her hair. It was fun though, figuring things out on the go.
I hope you all like it! Let me know what you think of it in the comments.
